There isn't a way to say everything I'm feeling right now. The best way to explain it is nervously expectant. In the past week God has absolutely blown my mind in how He provides.
Friday night, I recorded Finnagin's Father playing their show at the Daily Grind. Almost 30 people showed up to support them and to pre-order the CD's from the live show. I am currently working on editing the music and expect to have it done by the time my flight lands in Dublin. At the show I raised $120 from pre-ordered CD's, including the band's tips that they so generously donated!
The following Saturday I was up at 5 and on the road to Effingham to set up a yard sale that had been organized for my benefit. There was tons of stuff and I was overwhelmed with the amount of support from that community. Not only did we clear out a lot of clutter but we also raised $628! Also, I met several people who pledged to pray for me and keep up with my blog. If you're one of those people... I am so blessed by your faithfulness!
Going back to last Wednesday I worked with Chris Yaughn, owner/operator of Yaughn Countertops, and installed granite countertops as a form of bootstrapping. I've worked with him for almost three years whenever he needs me. His flexibility with my service has been an incredible, God-ordained employment and I am so grateful for him. I also worked Friday morning and yesterday afternoon with him. Thank you Chris!
So here is where we are. The plane ticket cost $1045.80. Through online donations and checks you all have raised $465! Add in the yard sale and the pre-ordered CD's and the total comes out to be $1213! I now have the plane ticket covered as well as any emergency expenses that may occur while on the island.
Thank you everyone!
