It has taken some time for me to get this together. After a few interviews and debrief sessions I've finally gathered enough of my thoughts and words to share them with you. It will take you maybe fifteen minutes to read, but believe me, it makes up for the past month I haven't spoken a word. It is also a decent testament to my month of silence in its length and quality. Grab a cup of coffee, maybe a cookie or two, and enjoy!
Short and sweet. Maybe slightly bittersweet. But thats what you get when you realize you are finite standing before an infinite God! His truth is overwhelming and constantly redirecting my love for Him. What a gracious God we serve.
This title is quite the paradox. As I began to post it I was outside a hotel, using the internet signal from a pub across the street hiding myself and my laptop under a raincoat because it was raining. The owner/bar tender of the hotel invited me in to use their internet for free and to get out of the rain. I wasn't prepared at all for this. Likewise, everything in this blog is to tell you your preparation for the mission field is nearly pointless... especially if your mission field is Ireland.
Been here nearly a week... pretty intense. Lots of running around and walking should be expected. Also, if you're looking for several updates, don't hold your breath, but hold your horses!
For those of you who are needing more details, I present... The Nitty Gritty! If you don't have more than ten minutes to spend reading, I would ask that you take two or three minutes and pray for those who do read this. It could possibly be equated to going to the dentist... but I'll let you decide!
Ever feel like you're falling from the sky? In my case, I hope it doesn't happen just yet. But the feeling is incredible and the landing is always met with a sigh of relief. This is a short update on my travels so far... nothing too extraordinary, but for those of you faithful readers, its something to chew on until my next post!
There isn't a way to say everything I'm feeling right now. The best way to explain it is nervously expectant. In the past week God has absolutely blown my mind in how He provides.
I'm on my way to Ireland! I am looking into long term mission work through Adventures in Missions. This blog explains a little more of whats been going on, will be going on, and hopefully what the Lord has in store for me!
